FATHER'S DAY
kirjutab Twilight blogis Learning Curve on the Ecliptic, pühapäev 17 juuni kell 08:00
My own Dad died in 1992. Hed be amazed to know that his photographs are being sent into cyber-space, and to know exactly where his only child, his daughter, was sitting - in Oklahoma U.S.A - sending them winging out! My Dad was the eldest son of 10 siblings, 5 male, 5 female. He had to leave school earlier than he would have wished in order to contribute to family finances. After a couple of

I seldom, these days, blog about anything relating to U.S. politics, or manage to find an article which echoes, nearly, my own feelings about everybodys favourite Demon of the Day, Month, Year, Decade: President Donald Trump.

New Moon in Gemini – June 13, 2018, 19:43 UT
kirjutab admin blogis Lunations by Kirsti Melto, neljapäev 14 juuni kell 00:25
The New Moon at 22 degrees of Gemini was in conjunction with a trans-Neptunian body 19521 Chaos, which was discovered almost 20 years ago. 19521 Chaos has an orbital period of 309 years and its orbit never crosses the orbit of Neptune. In contemporary language when we speak of chaos, we are usually referring to a state of confusion.

Portrait by Betsy Graves Reyneau. Aaron Douglas (26 May 1899 - 2 February 1979) - The Father of African-American Art. I didnt choose him because of the title bestowed by his peers and those influenced by his example, but rather because I love his work and style.

"Food, Glorious (or not) Food....."
kirjutab Twilight blogis Learning Curve on the Ecliptic, kolmapäev 13 juuni kell 08:00
Since diagnosis of early stage breast cancer back in early March, and subsequent surgery, Ive been paying more attention to my diet, with special attention to any foods which can encourage the production of estrogen in the body - which I would do well to avoid. The first article I read warned strongly against soy - any kind of soy, in any quantity.

There must have been hundreds of these, over the years; those listed below are a few I easily recall. When Dustin Hoffman says his iconic, “I’m walkin’ here!” line in “Midnight Cowboy,” he is said to have been actually almost hit by a New York taxi. Neither the experience nor the line was supposed to happen.
Music Monday ~ A Rock with Glass Half Empty

Casting around for something musical and apt for today, 11 June, led me to the fact that on 11 June in 1966 I Am A Rock by Paul Simon, the version recorded with Garfunkel, peaked in the charts at #3. Hmm. I Am a Rock isnt one of the most played of their many superb recordings these days.

kirjutab The Weather Alternative blogis The Weather Alternative, esmaspäev 11 juuni kell 00:48
In the middle of May, I posted a forecast for the Northeast U.S. for the period between June 5-8 calling for strong storms and heavy rain. The forecast was based on planetary alignments studied by astro-meteorologists. Heres how the forecast, issued 3 weeks in advance, sized up. The forecast was off by a couple of days since today, June 10th, the storms and heavy rain materialized over the Mid-Atlantic region.
